How's things?

Ahumdulehla!

(Sent from God)

That’s what the Arabs say to each other.

Today was contemplation day. It’s a Sunday and I am still getting used to the idea of working on a Sunday. Talked to my mum, brother and you today and got many views, but at the end of it all it was one simple lesson – What is it that I want?

I guess I have a clearer picture now of what I should go do.

Shall work towards that and hope things work out well.

Took my tablets tonight (din forget), but since I forgot yesterday, it’s taking it’s toil again. =(

Very good nights …

Far East vs Middle East

Weird hor, everything is measured and named with reference from Europe. The UAE is the Middle East, and China is the Far East.

So, how is things over in Dragon Land. It’s HOT here in Desert Land – the Land of the Golden Sand (or sand worth of gold). No chance to chit chat with you for so long liao. The time difference is quite irritating. By the time I’m free from work, it’s like way past midnight in Asia. Then weekends here is also on different days. =(

Anyhow, quite a whirlwind experience so far. Travelling through out the UAE alot, from Dubai to Fujairah, to Abu Dhabi, to Ajman and Sharjah. I never driven so much in my life. I never driven so fast in my life (180km/h).

I don’t mind the job thus far, though I a little “伤心”. Dubai/Fujeirah is still not Shanghai. It’s not China. Maybe I’m very comfortable in China, so I feel that UAE not as good. Maybe it’s the ppl that I get to meet. OK, got meet alot of Sporeans here too … I’m like the “youngest” here, liao. Anyway, also got my doctor thingy, so everything is hanging from a thin thread. Uncertainty … Maybe need some time to think about this, cos’ so far haven’t had time to sit down and really give it some thought.

Anyway, just voicing some thoughts … not upset, no worries …

Have a good week ahead. Hope to chat with u some time. (“,)

No Road

I’m glad that the postcard made it safely across the Ocean to be delivered to you, even though there was a road name missing from the address. So, the Shanghai postal system is still relatively good! =)

A Million Task

It was running around the whole day with her pa, looking and seeing, questioning and experiencing. Quite tired, though I must say that I didn’t exactly do anything yet. (Maybe, lack of afternoon nap.) After today, I have heard both sides of the story in the employer-employee relationship in the company, now, I just have to experience it for myself.

At the end of today, I was thinking … i was planning to work in SH since last year and suddenly I am starting out here. Then I started taking out my work wear from my suitcase to iron and remembered that it was packed like early Dec 2006. Just a thought lah … I’m still positive about everything!!!

Anyway, have a good Wednesday and I await what tomorrow brings for me. =)

Great expectations of a little xx by xx cm card

=)

A postcard is definitely making it’s way from Melbourne to Shanghai, though I cross my fingers that it gets there safely. When I was writing the card, I thought I had your address stored on my laptop, BUT, the Chinese characters did not show properly due to some bad encoding. Eventually, I tried to recall the address from memory, and I think I left out part of it. So, my fingers are crossed. (“,)

Anyway, have fun planning for your trip, yar … Yunnan is very pretty … =)

Back from a holiday = Back to reality

I’m going to bed, but here’s wishin’ ya when ya get in de office …

Good day, mate!

(and let it be a good Friday the 13th!)

The Difference

Inspiring quote from a Christian Postcard …

I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
“Why doesn’t God help me?”
I wondered,
He answered, “You didn’t ask”.

I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on grey and bleak.
I wondered why God didn’t show me,
He said, “You didn’t seek”.
I tried to come into God’s presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
“My child, you didn’t knock”.

I woke up early this morning,
and passed before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

Have a blessed week ahead.

Book, Fire & Hope

It’s farnie how me & your dad think alike, maybe we are the FEELing people, take the risk & chiong all the way! In some way, i am also taking this opportunity to see how well i understand you and i guess you will be more affected by your mum’s advice and in my mind i was thinking , i am sure you will not take the offer.

But, any the case, to me , all decisions are to be respected and hopefully you find happiness in whatever you plan to take on later. All the house test, assessment by people , whatever it is, at the end of the day, we know who we really are and what we really want. Someone commented i love to impress others on the very first contact that i am smart, confident and pretty. In a way, i do suceed in many case but finally this question pop by my mind: Is it because of my insecurity that causes me to want to impress upon others or is it just the very me , who just behave & speak what i feel at that very moment?

People love to talk about themselves, and i conclude they really do, young or old. It seems to be like a battle of the war between who tells and have a better storyline. So like i always believe in, my story will have to be different from others and have a special twist to the end. Different experiences are the only way to excite my readers through the many colours in the story.

Being the young you, add more colors to your life! Thrill others like a suspense novel and write the side of you which others never knew. In spite you do say you are predictable, i beg to agree becoz i believe, in everyone of us, there exist this small ambuse that is waiting to be rekindled, with the very little sparkle of fire …and make a DIFFERENCE to your story.

AKQA

All known questions have been answered, but what about questions that we have yet to ask? Most people go through life simply accepting facts, and whatever they have been told. No questions form in their minds.
Just an interesting thought.

Similar to service training. How does the service personnel respond to the unspoken, maybe even un-thought of, questions in the customer’s mind?

Hope your music therapy for the training program is humming along well!
